Educational Opportunity – Club Mentoring – Get Them Started Right

What an exciting time to be in Toastmasters!

As part of District 19’s goal of promoting club excellence, we are tasked with connecting with our new members.

Do you remember how you felt when you first joined Toastmasters? Did you feel lost at times as you tried to navigate the club’s structure, the education program, manuals and projects?  Let’s help ensure that new members get the information they need for a long and successful journey with Toastmasters.
District 19’s Mentor and Sponsor and the Club Growth Team is hosting a conference call entitled, Getting Them Started Right, to help to achieve just that.  The coaching tips and techniques shared will assist you with setting up our new members on a path of success and boost their confidence.
In addition, mentoring new members and new clubs can give your clubs new excitement. If your club is concerned about attrition, this is a great opportunity to learn some techniques and information to share with your members to keep them involved.  Attrition can put a strain on club membership numbers.  By enhancing the new member experience we will create an environment upon which they can build their success.
Our agenda will cover building rapport with a mentee, goal-setting, Toastmaster communication and leadership tracks.  Resources will be shared as well.  All of this will be focused on good Toastmaster member experience.  Additionally, we will have Pat Hannan, our Region IV Advisor, join us on the call for a brief time!
Conference calls will be held on Wednesday, November 29th at 7:00-8:00 p.m. or Tuesday, December 5th at 7:00-8:00 p.m.  A document with information to be reviewed during the call is attached to this email.  Dial-in information is included below.
