Hello fellow Toastmasters and friends,
It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this article. A long time Toastmaster and dear friend Diane Stone recently lost her battle with cancer. Diane was an avid supporter of Toastmasters and a mentor to many across the district. Diane was District Governor in the 2004-2005 year where she led the District to Distinguished status.
I remember the first time I met Diane, I was immediately impressed with the class and dignity with which she carried herself with. She was so knowledgeable and was always willing to help out. Diane embodied the spirit and values of District 19 and she will surely be missed by many.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to her friends and family. Rest in peace Diane Stone, a great leader, mentor and friend
