Accomplished Speaker, Entrepreneur and World Record Holder Alex Cequea is presenting his dynamic talk, Harness Your Story, at Toastmaster’s Golden Speakers’ Annual Fall New Member Drive on Tuesday October 22. The event starts at 7:25 p.m. in the lower of level of the First United Methodist Church on B and Briggs.
Alex’s presentation will inspire attendees to seize the innate power that’s unique to them through their personal story. The presentation will cover how to make one’s story resonate with their audience, how to structure a memorable story, and demonstrate the best use of technology in presentations. Raised in Venezuela and having spent time across the United States, Alex Cequea first came to Fairfield in 2006 to attend MUM, and graduated with an MBA in 2010.
At 31 years old, Alex has already solidified himself as a very accomplished speaker. In 2011, Alex finished in the top 200 worldwide in the Toastmaster’s International Inspirational Speech Contest. Recently, Alex had the honor and privilege of speaking to an audience of 40,000 people at the biggest mobile technology conference in the United States.
Over the summer, Alex cemented himself in the annals of human history. Speaking for 37 consecutive hours, Alex earned a spot in the ‘Guinness Book of World Records’ for longest speech. Alex has also found success expressing his entrepreneurial talents, serving as the Editor in Chief of iPhone Life magazine. Alex took his infatuation with technology and created a thriving career.
When asked about his passion for technology, Alex firmly stated, “Technology is a double-edged sword, and what fuels my passion is making sure we use it to make the world better.” Alex describes his business venture as the opportunity as a lifetime.
