The Hilltop Toasters, Club 7889, is looking for volunteers – especially judges – to help staff a club inspirational speech competition. It will be held Sunday, May 4, at the East Moline Correctional Center.
A group of eight speakers from the club will compete in the event is from 2:30 to 5:30 in the EMCC Chapel, the home of the Hilltop Toasters. Club adviser Don Wadleigh said, “It is not often that a Toastmaster has an opportunity to judge more than three, four or five speakers in once contest. Here is your change to explore and test your judging skills.”
Marse Visnevac, Club 7889 President, added, “I see this as a prime opportunity to showcase both Toastmasters and the Hilltop Club for both potential members from the institution and to our visitors and supporters from across District 19.”
