For those attending the May 16-17 District Conference in Dubuque, you may be wondering what to pack. Here are a few notes that can help:
- Friday afternoon: Business casual is preferred for the afternoon educational sessions, but you can get away with nice jeans and top or go a little dressier. It’s flexible.
- Friday evening: As is tradition, Friday night is costume night! The theme is Peace, Love and Toast, a tribute to the 1970s. So if you want to join in the fun and join the Groovy Threads Costume Parade, pull your bell bottoms and paisleys out of the back of the closet!
- Saturday daytime: Consider it a workday. Business casual works, but you’ll also see a lot of men in jackets and/or ties, and women in casual dresses or suits.
- Saturday dinner: It’s dress-up time! Many members will be in suits (even a tuxedo or two) and gowns/evening dresses. If you have a DTM medallion, be sure to wear it proudly!
- Hospitality Suite: If you choose to attend the hospitality suite late in the evening after events for the day have concluded, you may either keep your finery on or change into whatever’s comfortable.
