The new Division B Governor for the year is Jeanne Heil, the District’s newest Distinguished Toastmaster.
Jeanne joined Toastmasters in 2010, after visiting a Downtowners Watts of Talk club meeting for her employer’s Board of Education. She served the club as Secretary and President, before she expanded her horizons and became the Area 32 Governor. She has since joined Sunrise Marion as her Home Club, as well Waterloo 101 and Five Seasons Leadership Academy. She is currently one of the Club Mentors for a new TrueNorth/Health Solutions corporate start-up club.
She earned her first Triple Crown in May 2014, and completed her Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) Award on July 1st, completing another Triple Crown Award. She will serve as President of Sunrise Marion, and Vice President of Education of Five Seasons Leadership Academy.
Jeanne is married to Todd, and has a 19 year old daughter, Samantha, who is an active member of Waterloo 101. Todd has 2 children, Zach (16) and Caitlin (13) who visit very often from the Des Moines area. Jeanne has been with TrueNorth for 19 years, working as an account manager in the Financial Strategies Division.
She enjoys sharing her passion and excitement for Toastmasters with everyone she talks to. She is very excited about the opportunity to continue to serve Division B and District 19 Toastmasters.
