LESSON SPEAKER: PID, DTM, Joan Johanson
Peace can be defined as happiness, harmony, friendships, goodwill and/or serenity. People want peace – but now does one grasp . . . and retain it?
To answer that question, one must identify and examine their “core values.” Core values are embedded memories, feelings and wisdoms learned during our initial upbringing. These core values rule the way a person faces the world…filters which occurrences have meanings… and how we will act or react. Core values emanate from the center of you (your brain, heart and soul)…of who you are and what is most important to you. Your core values are also the “gut feelings” you get….the tiny voice in your head…or a constant, repeating thought. THAT’S your core values “talking” to you.
Enjoy a pleasantly revealing lesson of how to identify YOUR core values. When made clear,
you will have a greater sense of self…and how we all orient to our world.
Joan Johanson joined Toastmasters back in 1974 when women were first allowed to be members. Her Toastmaster education led her into a professional speaker and trainer career for 30+ years. Since her semi-retiring, she aids others as a ghost writer, composes her own educational material and lessons, continues in Toastmasters and is getting a new club ready to charter.
