Here’s more information on the big June 14 event in the Quad Cities!
First will be TLI West (this is called “West” because it’s held in conjunction with the District in Illinois, so it’s “west” to them). It’s directed by District 19’s Kory May as his High Performance Leadership project,
Starting at 9:30 a.m. at the Western Illinois University-Quad Cities Campus, the TLI showcases four current District Champions in the International Speech Contest and their speeches, including District 19’s J.J. Trotta. At the TLI, you can hear them give their District-winning speeches as they prepare for the International Speech Contest in August. Of course, there will also be officer training available before the new Toastmasters’ year begins, as well as a .variety of educational sessions including How to Run a Successful Contest, Challenges and Options for Women in Leadership Roles, and the Art of Delegation.

But wait! We’re not done!

At 4 p.m., the four district champion speakers will again speak, this time likely using the second speech they must prepare for World Championship in Malaysia. At 5 p.m. is a barbecue buffet and a chance to talk to Toastmasters from around the Midwest. Tickets are $27 if purchased before May 31.
